Our text book gives a history of sea travel and describes a bit about explorers who helped to map our province.
For an excellent history of Nova Scotia, I recommend this book by Lesley Choyce. The first couple of chapter's give a history of explorers, who ventured around this great province. Much more detailed than in our text book.
